Ground Workout is a training app operated by Lemon Studio. This page explains exactly what leaves your phone, who processes it, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be specific rather than reassuring — if something is not listed here, we are not collecting it.
Most of your data never leaves your phone. Your training history, sessions and schedule live in a database on the device. Opening the app, picking a session, training it and logging it work with no network at all.
You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive an account identifier and an email address — which, if you use Sign in with Apple, may be a private relay address that hides your real one. We use it to know whose subscription and whose backup is whose. Nothing else is requested from those accounts.
When you ask the coach to design or change a session, or type free text that changes your goal, we send what it needs to answer:
The three things you type in your own words are saved in your profile, so they are sent again each time you ask for a session, until you change them. Your equipment note and your injury note can be edited or deleted at any time in Preferences. Your goal wording can be rewritten from the Plan tab, and deleting your account removes it along with everything else.
Your name is not sent. The coach never receives it.
This runs on our own server, which passes the request to Google's Gemini API to generate the session. Our server does not store the request; it handles it and forgets it.
So you do not lose years of training by losing a phone, we store a copy of your app data on our servers, hosted by Supabase. That copy includes your profile, your injury flags, your match schedule, every session and set you have logged, and your weekly ratings. It is health-related information tied to your account, which is why we are being precise about it. It is a backup, not a sync: we copy from your phone to the server, never the other way round without you asking to restore.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We learn whether your subscription is active and when it renews. We never see your card details — Apple handles payment and does not share them with us.
If the app or the server hits an error, we send a crash report to Sentry. It contains the shape of what failed — which screen or endpoint, the status, an internal request id, your account id and the app version. It never contains your request text, your injuries, your training data, or the contents of any message.
Our server records how many requests each account makes per day, to stop one account burning the shared cost of running the AI coach. It also keeps ordinary server logs: which endpoint was called, the status, and how long it took. Request contents are not logged.
| Who | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Your account and your backup |
| Google (Gemini API) | The content of a session request, to generate the session |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status |
| Apple | Payment, and your sign-in if you use Apple |
| Sentry | Crash reports (no request content) |
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Preferences → Account. It removes your account, your backup, and your subscription record from our servers, and wipes the data on your phone. It is immediate and it is not reversible.
Deleting your account does not cancel your Apple subscription. Only Apple can do that, from Settings on your device. Cancel there first, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@groundworkout.com.
Ground Workout is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
